Rail Transit '07, Interface Journal and Advanced Rail Management Corp.'s 3rd annual Wheel/Rail Interaction Seminar, is devoted to examining wheel/rail, vehicle/track interaction on rail transit systems.

This cross-disciplinary seminar will include presentations from experts in vehicle/track dynamics, noise and vibration, wheel/rail profile design and maintenance, and friction management. Join a unique group of transit professionals, researchers and suppliers at this seminar to examine recent developments in research and technology, participate in lively discussion and gain a better understanding of the complex interaction at the rail transit wheel/rail interface.

Rail Transit '07 is co-sponsored by Advanced Rail Management Corp., which has presented the annual Wheel/Rail Interface Seminars over the past 13 years, and
Interface Journal. Our goal with this transit-specific seminar is to elevate the discussion and extend the reach of information available on research, technology and approaches to improving vehicle/track interaction on rail transit systems.

Continuing Education Credits are offered.

Wheel/Rail Interaction '08 is the premier annual seminar devoted to examining wheel/rail, vehicle/track interaction on rail freight and shared-track passenger systems. This cross-disciplinary seminar will bring together track and mechanical users, suppliers and researchers for a better understanding of the complex interaction at the wheel/rail interface. The seminar will present the latest information on new and existing technology and the ways in which it is being used to improve wheel/rail interaction on freight and passenger railways.

Back by popular demand, the "Principles of Wheel/Rail Interaction" will be held on May 5, 2008, in conjunction with the 14th annual Wheel/Rail Interaction Seminar. This intensive, full-day course will provide in-depth examination of the primary aspects of wheel/rail, vehicle/track interaction. Drawing from both theory and practical application, the course will cover contact mechanics, vehicle suspension, wheelset curving, track geometry, friction management, wheel/rail profiles and more — all of the elements that are required to promote a more complete understanding of vehicle/track dynamics and wheel/rail interaction. NOTE: Seminar attendance is NOT required to attend this course.

Continuing Education Credits are offered.
